On rare occasions, road closures, fires, torrential rain or other natural disasters force us to change the run location. Please check the club web site for the most up-to-date schedule information. Course changes will be posted by Saturday evening so it's best to check Sunday morning before you head out.
New Runners
While we prefer for new runners to meet the first time at Temescal Canyon Rd, we realize that it may be out of your way. Course Description
The trailhead is at the intersection of Bienveneda and Via Floresta in Pacific Palisades. The single track Leacock Trail soon meets the Bienveneda Trail which then takes us to the Temescal Ridge Trail. We turn right on the Backbone Trail and intersect the Rogers Road, and then descend on the obscure Bay Tree Trail to the Rustic Canyon (the turnaround point). On the return, we bypass the Bienveneda intersection and proceed another .6 miles to the intersection with the Leacock Trail, where we turn right and gently descend to our cars.
