Running The Sahara is out in limited release this week in Pasadena, CA and Manhattan, NY.  See below for an excerpt from an e-mail announcement from NEHST Studios:

"Running The Sahara"
A feature length documentary film from
Executive Producer and Academy Award winner Matt Damon
and directed by Academy Award winner James Moll,
beginning in NY and LA on Aug 15th.

"Running The Sahara" is a film about three ultra marathon runners who set out to run across the Sahara Desert for the challenge and discover the cause: the Water crisis in Africa.

H2O Africa is the non-profit begun by the runners, the filmmakers and Matt Damon to fund and create water wells throughout Africa to combat the water crisis on the continent.

As a special academy qualifying requirement, we will be doing a limited, commercial theatrical run of the film for one week in LA County and the borough of Manhattan. This will not be widely publicized or marketed.

We will be givinG away limited edition T shirts at early screenings of the NY run.
