Montana de Oro trail run & camping weekend
Montano de Oro State Park is located just outside San Luis Obispo and Moro Bay in Los Osos.
The “Mountains of Gold” is a coastal treasure.
It offers a mix of rugged, rocky cliffs, coastal plains, sandy beaches and streams.
We’ll be running on trails as old as the Chumash people as you explore one, two or three peaks nestled in the flora with epic views of the Pacific ocean, nearby beaches and Morro Bay in the distance.

“Spooner’s Cove” is where we will start our runs.

“Islay Creek Campground” is just a couple steps away and the ideal setting for some low key camping. Members have booked their campsite already. Bathrooms, potable water but no cell service and no showers, the perfect getaway.
If you don’t want to camp, you can try to book a place in Los Osos.
(If you are new to the club, try to secure a campsite asap for Friday April 10 until Sunday April 12. Then let Ann know so she can add you to the participants list and send you an email with more details.)
