14.5 mile loop with +3, 250 ft of elevation gain

Starting from the Wendy trail head in Newbury Park, we make our way down Upper Sycamore trail and onto the Hidden Pond trail. After crossing Sycamore fire road we work our way up Blue Canyon and up the Old Boney trail to head back to where our cars are parked.

There are options to make this a shorter loop. In stead of crossing Sycamore Canyon you can stay on this fire road and make your way over the wooden bridge and up the blacktop into Rancho Sierra Vista where you can check out the visitor center before making your way back to your car.

A challenging but very beautiful loop in the most wild part of the Santa Monica Mountains.
