Backbone Trail #4 “Mishe Mockwa to Ray Miller”
We will run the entire Backbone Trail in 4 sections, this is the fourth and last one.
These are point to point runs and are a LOT OF FUN but require some organizing and cooperation of all participants to make the carpool work, before AND after the run. Please help out with the carpooling. We all have families and life activities waiting for us at home, if you can’t commit to the extra time then this might not be a good run for you.
These are for 2020 club members only!
This is a 16 mile stretch and will probably be your favorite stretch of all.
After reaching Sandstone Peak–the highest peak at 3,111 ft. of the Santa Monica Mountains, we traverse through the Chamberlain Rock. Finally, we finish with the best views of the glimmering Pacific Ocean below the Ray Miller Trail.
MEETING LOCATION: We are parking and meeting at the La Jolla Valley canyon trailhead on PCH, and then we will caravan at 6:30 AM to the start at the Mishe Mockwa trailhead in as few possible cars as possible.
