This run begins at the “La Entrada” parking lot (behind the picnic table), near the intersection of Topanga Canyon Rd and La Entrada. The parking lot is usually closed but some free parking is available on the street.
From the parking lot, we take the “Dead Horse Trail” up the “Musch Trail” and make our way up to “Eagle rock”. (These trails are part of the Backbone trail). From Eagle rock we drop down left onto the very fun single track “Garapito trail” and once back at the fireroad we take a right to make our way to the Hub junction (with outhouse) where we take a sharp right toward “Eagle Springs rd” until we reach the intersection with the Musch Trail. Our return is down “Musch trail”, the way we came, or you stay on the fire road which takes it shorter and easier to the Trippet parkinglot, from there you can connect back on the Deadhorse trail which is a blissfully downhill until we reach the Entrada Parking Lot.
