Mount Laguna Trail Marathon
The Mount Laguna Trail Marathon is a classic Southern California trail race offering runners a well-organized event with highly experienced crew volunteers to cheer and assist participants throughout the day. The club has been participating in this event for several years and it’s always been a great weekend get-away.
There will be no other club run planned for this Sunday.
The course is a single loop of technical single-track trail covering mostly rolling terrain. Total elevation gain for the run is 3,358 feet with the first half running high on the Pacific Crest Trail overlooking the Anza Borrego Desert. The second half will climb and descend Champagne Pass and tour the meadows surrounding Big Laguna Lake.
This is a fundraising event and proceeds will be given back to the local community, including San Diego Ultra Running Friends (SURF), TrailFit, and Runners for Public Lands.
