Because of the extreme cold and wet storm we are having right now, the original first leg of the BBT is postponed to next week.
Instead we’re choosing for a safer drive (no mountain/canyon roads) and a very well drained fire road to run on with amazing sunrise and ocean views (because it does look like we’re getting a break in the weather for Sunday).

You have the choice to start from either the Bush Drive side (which will be only muddy at the lower 100yards), parking in the dirt lot or along the street (with the wet conditions probably a better choice!)
OR
you can start from Encinal Road at the Buzzards Roost entrance (next to the water treatment center.) Park at this small dirt lot.
